Laura Pitharas. Great Brand Equity, No System to Convert It.

Laura Pitharas fashion brand ecommerce marketing agency paid social case study

Dame Joanna Lumley wore LP to a Netflix premiere. The brand had press, celebrity dressing, and London Fashion Week. What they did not have was a single paid channel or email sequence to turn that attention into revenue.

Zero Paid Acquisition

No Meta or Google ads ran. Every sale came from press, personal relationships, and the founder's network. Revenue could not be predicted or repeated.

Celebrity Moment Wasted

Dame Joanna Lumley wore LP to a Netflix premiere seen globally. The brand published one blog post and built nothing around it in paid or email.

No Email Follow-Trough

A pop-up collected email addresses but there was no welcome sequence, no new arrival flow, and no abandoned browse sequence behind the capture.

One Purchase, No Path Back

A customer who bought a £320 coat got a confirmation email and nothing else. No complementary pieces introduced, no repeat purchase path built.

The Diagnostic

Before writing a single ad or building a single flow, we ran a full revenue leak audit across the ad account, email platform, and funnel.

The Build

We've Built

The exact systems we put in place across ads, funnel, and email to fix the leaks.

First Paid Campaigns

Launched LP's first Meta campaigns using three angles: the Joanna Lumley celebrity dressing story, the made-in-England sustainability angle, and direct product creative on the pinstripe co-ord.

Email Foundation

Four-email welcome sequence leading with the Joanna Lumley moment, followed by sustainability credentials, then the bestselling co-ord with a soft first-order incentive. Post-purchase flow introduced complementary pieces at 14 days.

Retargeting Layer

Warm audience retargeting targeting site visitors and email subscribers. Product page visitors saw the specific piece browsed. Abandoned sessions saw the founder story and made-in-England positioning to reinforce value.

What Didn't Work

The sustainability angle did not convert cold traffic. Strong engagement from women interested in ethical fashion but purchase intent was low and CPA was nearly three times the target. The audience was educating themselves rather than buying. We moved the sustainability angle into the email welcome sequence where it built trust effectively, and rebuilt cold creative entirely around the product and the celebrity dressing story.

The first welcome email led with the brand's sustainability credentials and manufacturing story. Open rates were strong but click-to-purchase conversion was 0.4%. Subscribers were interested but not buying. We rebuilt the sequence to lead with the Joanna Lumley moment in email one and moved the sustainability story to email three. Click-to-purchase moved to 2.1% within two weeks.

First Paid Channel Live

Meta ads generated LP's first scalable acquisition channel. The Joanna Lumley creative outperformed direct product ads by 40% on click-through rate.

Email Finally Converting

Welcome sequence click-to-purchase moved from 0.4% to 2.1%. Email became the second largest revenue channel within 60 days of the rebuild going live.

AOV Up 26%

Post-purchase sequences moved average order value from £178 to £224. Customers introduced to the full co-ord bought the trouser after buying the coat.

Celebrity Proof Finally Used

The Joanna Lumley campaign turned an unused PR moment into the brand's highest-converting creative. Earned attention finally generated measurable revenue.
